When Deklan was about 6 weeks old, Nate placed him in his outstretched hand and Deklan just sat there, holding perfectly still. It is the cutest darn thing ever.

Deklan's Blessing
Deklan was blessed in the University 17th Ward on April 10th by his father. It was a beautiful blessing, Nate did a wonderful job.
The blessing outfit that Deklan wore was the same outfit that Nate wore when he was blessed. My mom made the light blue afghan that matched his outfit.
RSV
When Deklan was about 2 weeks old, he started to get this horrible cough. We changed formula thinking it was a possible milk allergy, that didn’t work. The doctor treated him for reflux, that didn’t work either. He would cough so hard and was so worn out from coughing that his body was just limp. Finally, the doctor did a simple test and the results showed that he had contracted RSV! They admitted him to the hospital immediately, hooked him up to oxygen and a few monitors. We stayed in the hospital with him for 3 days. The doctor release him but still was not comfortable taking him off the oxygen, so he was on oxygen at home for another 4 days. It was so hard to watch him be so sick, but he was a real champ and made a full recovery.

Natalie, Quinn and Jens made a special trip to Idaho when Deklan was a week old to meet him and to see Wade while he was here visiting. Natalie spent nearly a whole day taking pictures of the baby. They turned out beautiful. This one is my favorite. Thank you so much Natalie for the beautiful pictures. Our family has been blessed by your amazing talent.

The minute the warm water touched his head, he fell right to sleep. He really seemed to enjoy it.
